Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies - World History
The year will begin as the Romans leave one form of government for another. We will continue to the Middle East to learn about the Islamic Empires. Our tour of our globe continues to the Orient as we examine China and Japan. We return to Europe to find out what happened after the Roman Empire was left in ruins. Then we examine the flow of art and literature in the European Renaissance. Our world tour takes us to the Americas as we learn about the Meso American Empires. Then a last trip to Europe as revolutions rock the continent.

Geography of the World
As we learn the geography of the places we study, encourage your child to try out this website. There are many fun and informative map quizzes. They can work to improve their knowledge (and speed and accuracy) AND challenge others at home. Copy and paste the following websites into your web's browser. Have fun!
